Gegen die Hannover Regents III gab es zwei ganz knappe Niederlagen zum Saisonende. Damit endet die Saison 2025 für die Göttingen Allstars.

Spiel 1

Im ersten Spiel legten wir direkt richtig gut los. Unser Pitcher Leander Schuhr startete sehr stark in das Spiel, nach drei Innings stand es 4:0 für Göttingen. Im vierten Inning konnten wir zunächst noch einen Run drauflegen, danach entglitt uns leider das Spiel. Fünf Runs brachte Hannover im vierten Inning nach Hause, damit stand es dann 5:5.
Im letzten Inning schafften wir es nicht, noch einen Run zu erzielen und so trennte Hannover nur noch ein Punkt vom Sieg. Wir schafften es noch zwei Outs zu holen und beinahe Extra-Innings zu erzwingen, aber dann kam doch noch der letzte Run rein. Damit gewannen die Regents mit 5:6.

Spiel 2

Das zweite Spiel hatte einen anderen Spielverlauf, war aber ähnlich knapp. Diesmal startete für uns Kilian Zimmermann auf dem Mound. Genau wie im ersten Spiel gingen wir in Führung und nach zwei Innings stand es 4:3 für die Allstars.
Die nächsten beiden Durchgänge liefen allerdings nicht gut. Hannover verhinderte weitere Runs von uns, während sie selber fünf erzielen konnten. Im letzten Inning kämpften wir uns nochmal ran – wir verkürzten auf 6:8, danach war jedoch Schluss. Somit endeten beide Spiele mit knappen Niederlagen.

Fazit zum Spieltag

Natürlich sind zwei Niederlagen am letzten Spieltag nicht schön. Trotzdem soll es hier nicht um das Negative gehen. Insgesamt haben wir mehr Spiele gewonnen als verloren und beenden das Jahr auf dem dritten Tabellenplatz. Im Vergleich zur letzten Saison spielten wir viel besser. Es gab tolle Momente, mehrere Siege gegen jedes Team und viele Verbesserungen im gesamten Kader.
In den kommenden Wochen schauen wir noch einmal genauer auf die gesamte Saison 2025. Währenddessen beginnen bei uns bereits die Vorbereitungen für den Winter – und somit auch bereits für 2026.

The Hannover Regents III handed us two very close defeats at the end of the season. With that, the 2025 season comes to a close for the Göttingen Allstars.

Game 1

In the first game, we got off to a strong start. Our pitcher, Leander Schuhr, opened the game with an excellent performance, and after three innings it was 4–0 for Göttingen. In the fourth inning, we managed to add another run, but unfortunately, the game slipped away from us after that. Hannover brought five runs across in the fourth, tying the score at 5–5.
In the final inning, we couldn’t push another run across, leaving Hannover just one run away from victory. We managed to record two more outs and came close to forcing extra innings, but then the deciding run came in. The Regents took the game 5-6.

Game 2

The second game had a different course, but was just as close. This time, Kilian Zimmermann started on the mound for us. Just like in the first game, we took the lead, and after two innings the score was 4–3 for the Allstars.
The next two frames, however, didn’t go our way. Hannover held us scoreless while adding five runs of their own. In the final inning we fought back, cutting the deficit to 6-8, but that was as far as we got. Both games, therefore, ended in narrow defeats.

Gameday Recap

Of course, two losses on the last game day are never pleasant. Still, this shouldn’t overshadow the positives. Overall, we won more games than we lost and finish the year in third place in the standings. Compared to last season, we played much better. There were great moments, multiple wins against every team, and many improvements throughout the roster.
In the coming weeks, we’ll take a closer look back at the entire 2025 season. At the same time, preparations for the winter — and for 2026 — are already underway.
